From time to time there’s a new buzz on the makeup scene about affordable products that work just as good or better than some high end products. Recently the Essence Lash Princess mascara buzz was so loud I definitely had to try it out for myself.
I’d seen the many posts of people showing their before and after’s of them using the Essence Lash Princess mascara, and I was impressed to say the least. So why is this mascara getting so much hype? Well, it may be because it costs just £3.30 and it claims to be a false lash effect mascara.
Personally I’ve never been a fan of most mascara’s that have been hyped up recently. My lashes are quite short and curly, so for me volumising and lengthening is a must. I’ve tried other mascara’s from Essence and one of my favourite mascara’s also comes from their range, so I was very keen to try out their newest one.
The Essence Lash Princess mascara claims to be ‘for an irresistible false lash effect and dramatic volume‘ and is ‘ophthalmologically approved‘ (so you shouldn’t experience any eye irritation). ‘The special, conic shape of the fibre brush provides lashes with length, dramatic volume and a false- lash effect. The packaging is decorated with a gorgeous evening dress in black-mint. Princess(ence) deluxe‘.
After trying the mascara for myself, I’ll say that I am very impressed. It definitely lives up to its claims, as it is volumising and lengthening. I can definitely see the results on my short and curly lashes. I also found that the mascara was very comfortable to wear all day without smudging. With regards to flaking, I didn’t experience any which was great. It’s also quite easy to remove at the end of the day. I also noticed that I loved it as a bottom lash mascara (see pictures below). One thing I will note is that if you are expecting to experience the same result as some have with the major lash differences then brace yourself. Whilst I did experience a noticeable difference, my lashes never appeared to lengthen so dramatically (which is a slight shame!).
Overall I enjoyed using the Essence Lash Princess mascara, and I wouldn’t hesitate in purchasing one when I run out of this current one! Have you tried this mascara? What are your thoughts?
The Essence Lash Princess mascara is £3.30 and can be purchased on the Wilko’s website here or in store.
